Terms of use

Last updated: October 13, 2026

These terms apply when you use PageFax: the website at pagefax.net and the PageFax apps for iPhone and Android. By sending a fax, buying credits or signing up for our launch email you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

1. Who we are

DevCraft IT Solutions SRL, a company registered in Romania, Trade Register no. J40/753/2024, tax identification code 49418864.
Contact: contact form

In these terms “we” and “us” mean that company, and “you” means the person using the service.

2. The service

PageFax sends the document you provide, as a fax, to the fax number you enter. It sends to numbers in the United States and Canada. It does not receive faxes. A fax can have up to 30 pages, including the cover page if you add one.

If the receiving line is busy or doesn’t answer, we try again, up to three attempts in total. We can’t promise that a particular fax machine will answer, has paper, or prints legibly. The delivery result and receipt show what the receiving line confirmed. A fax that was only partly delivered is not sent again automatically, because the recipient would get duplicate pages.

Don’t rely on PageFax for emergencies or as the only way to meet a deadline that can’t be missed. Send early, check the delivery result, and keep your receipt.

You must be at least 18, or old enough to enter into a contract where you live, to use the service.

3. Prices and payment

On the website

The price depends on the number of pages and is shown before you pay. When you send, the amount is authorised (held) on your card by our payment provider, Stripe. When the fax finishes, you are charged for the pages that were delivered: the full price if every page arrived, the lower price for that number of pages if only some did, and nothing if none did. The rest of the hold is released; how soon that shows on your statement depends on your bank.

In the apps

The apps use credits: one credit sends one page. Credits are bought through the App Store or Google Play, at the price shown there, and the store handles the payment. Credits don’t expire. A new device may get one free credit to try the service, once. When a fax or some of its pages are not delivered, the credits for the undelivered pages are returned to your balance.

Credits can only be used to send faxes with PageFax. They have no cash value and can’t be transferred or sold. Your balance is kept on our servers and is linked to your store purchases, so “Restore purchases” brings the remaining balance to a new phone that uses the same store account.

Taxes

Prices include any taxes we or the stores are required to charge, unless the checkout says otherwise.

4. Refunds and your right to withdraw

You pay only for delivered pages, so a delivered fax is not refundable. If you think a charge is wrong, or a fax was reported as delivered and wasn’t, use the contact form and give the reference from your receipt and we will look into it.

Refunds for purchases made in the apps are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. If a store refunds a purchase, we may remove the credits that purchase added.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Sending a fax is a service we carry out immediately at your request: by sending, you ask us to begin straight away and you accept that you lose the right to withdraw once the fax has been sent. For credits you bought and have not used, contact us within 14 days of the purchase and we will help you get them refunded.

5. What you may not do

You are responsible for what you send and for entering the right number. Faxes sent in the United States must identify the sender: put your name and a phone number on the cover page or on the document itself.

We may refuse or stop faxes, block destination numbers, and suspend access where we reasonably believe these rules are being broken, and we may cooperate with carriers and authorities investigating misuse. To report a fax sent through PageFax that you didn’t want, use the contact form and give the date, time and your fax number, and we will block further faxes to it.

6. Personal use; health information

PageFax is meant for people sending their own documents. It is not offered to healthcare providers, insurers or their service providers for sending patients’ health information, and we don’t sign business associate agreements. We make no claim that the service meets HIPAA or any other sector-specific standard. If you use it on behalf of a business, you are responsible for having the right to send the personal information in your documents.

7. Your documents and your privacy

You keep all rights in your documents. You give us permission to handle them only as needed to send your fax. We delete a document from our storage when its fax finishes. The privacy policy explains what we handle and for how long.

8. Fax numbers and guides on this website

The website lists fax numbers for government agencies and other organisations, with the source and the date we last checked each one. We copy them carefully from the organisations’ own websites, but numbers change, and the organisation’s own instructions always take priority. Check the number against the source before you send anything important. PageFax is an independent service and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any agency or organisation named on the website. The guides are general information, not legal, tax or medical advice.

9. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep the service running, but we don’t promise it will always be available or free of errors, and it depends on telephone carriers and other providers outside our control. We may change, suspend or end features. If we end the apps’ credit system, we will give reasonable notice so that you can use your credits, or we will refund unused purchased credits.

10. Our responsibility to you

If a fax isn’t delivered, you aren’t charged for it (or your credits are returned): that is the main remedy. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a missed deadline or lost business, and our total liability for a fax is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. The terms in force when you send a fax or buy credits apply to that fax or purchase.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there. Please write to us first: most problems can be settled by email. Consumers in Romania can also turn to the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC, anpc.ro).
