# Can you fax at Staples, FedEx Office, The UPS Store or Office Depot?

Yes. The big office and shipping chains all send faxes for you: you bring the paper, use a self-service machine or ask at the counter, and pay per fax. Prices and availability vary by store, so call ahead. If your document is already on your phone or computer, you can also send it from here without the trip.

1. Staples: self-service faxing in its stores, paid at the machine, to local, long-distance and international numbers.
2. FedEx Office: fax from the self-service copiers at locations that have them. You pre-authorize payment for the pages, get a printed confirmation, and a team member can send it for you at the counter.
3. Office Depot and OfficeMax: self-service faxing on the in-store printers, to local, domestic or international numbers.
4. The UPS Store: many locations offer faxing; check your store's page or call.
5. Or send it from here: photograph the pages or add the PDF, enter the number and pay once.

## What to bring

The pages on paper, the recipient's fax number with the area code, and a cover sheet if they expect one. FedEx Office includes a free cover sheet; here you can add one with a tick of a box.

## Can I receive a fax at a store?

Some can. FedEx Office says some of its locations receive faxes for customer pickup, paid at the counter. Sending from here is outbound only for now.

## What about a pharmacy, library or post office?

Some offer faxing and many don't, so call before you go.

## When sending from your phone is easier

When the store is closed or far away, or the document is already a PDF or an email attachment. You see the price before you send, pay only for pages that arrive, and get a delivery receipt.
